This program is open to high schoolers (those who will be in high school in the fall of 2019).
The deadline to apply is April 15th. We have funding to pay for all travel costs and cost of the program for the students as well as chaperones—just for the module focused on food and agriculture, “What’s for dinner? Why we eat what we eat in Alaska and what it means for our health.” This module is part of the Alaska Summer Research Academy. The goal is to connect students with the University and with possible careers related to agriculture, nutrition, science, or food science. It’s also a great opportunity for students just interested in learning more about food and health for themselves or as it applies to their community.
